The Department of Social Protection have published clarification, regarding waiting days treatment and aligning the treatment of social welfare waiting days with the statutory sick paid days.
What this means
For the first sickness of the year, there will be 5 waiting days applied.
For subsequent illnesses within the same year, 3 waiting days will apply.

We will be updating our social welfare module for this change and aim to incorporate these changes promptly to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
