An incorrect pay rate on a portal payslip can result from several factors, which are explained below.

The calculation for the hourly rate shown in the details tab of the payslip is as follows: Annual Salary / Days in Year x Pay Period Days / Pay Period Hours (using either full-time equivalent or employee standard hours).

To resolve these discrepancies, check the reasons listed below and how to address them.

Employee moved to a new rate of pay

If you have updated an employee's pay rate during the current payroll period, but their portal payslip still displays the old rate, this may be due to the timing of the rate change versus when you ran the Complete Update job.

In future periods, the correct rate should appear. However, if the employee needs to see a specific rate on a prior payslip, please raise a new case online and reference article.

Employee hasn't been moved to a new rate of pay

If an employee has not transitioned to a new rate but you see multiple rates displaying for the same pay code, ensure that the correct print rate is set at the pay code level.

To change the print rate, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Settings then click Codes.

  2. Click Pay Codes then search for the relevant pay code.

  3. Click the three-dot icon, then click Edit.

  4. Click Next then on the Print Rate rule, click Edit.

πŸ“ŒNote: We advise you to test the different print rate types in your UAT environment to determine which one generates the expected rate.
