If you run a report within a CoreHR module and the following error appears, it is because of the Reports Server.
All reports within CoreHR run from the same reports server. If a specific report fails to run and displays an error message, there is an issue with the Reports Server.
To resolve this, we've compiled a list of steps on how to resolve them.
Report server
To check if the error is due to the Report Server, follow these steps.
Run the report again, this time for a smaller subset, such as for a single employee instead of the entire company.
Try running a different report within the same module (e.g., CoreTime or CorePersonnel).
Attempt to run a report from a different module.
Ask another user to try running the same report from their PC.
Use a different browser to run the report (e.g., Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).
User-specific or report-specific
If the report runs successfully with any of these steps, the issue is not with the Reports Server and may be user-specific or report-specific.
To check if the issue is user-specific or report-specific, follow these steps.
1. Check if the user's password has expired or changed.
2. If the password has expired with 0 days remaining, change the password**. Please refer to the article on how to change a back office password.
3. Log out of CoreHR then log back into CoreHR.
5. Run the report again.
If the report still fails to run after all these steps, the Reports Server may be down.
Please contact your local IT department to confirm if there are any network issues.
