If an employee's SSP payment continues beyond the expected period or does not end, this can be due to how the sickness was entered on the system.

We've compiled a list of solutions that can assist with resolving the issue.

  • If at any point SSP has been entered by manually attaching the SSP pay code, those days will not be taken into account potentially causing further days to be calculated by Portal.

  • The input date of the sickness is used to calculate statutory payment days, if this date is altered or entered incorrectly it will affect how many days are left to pay automatically through Portal.

  • The sickness may not end if there is not a WFM schedule added for the employee for the date you are trying to end the sickness. To resolve this in WFM add a schedule and ensure the effective date is within the date you are trying to enter.
