If you encounter this error for a newly hired employee who hasnโ€™t yet been paid in the observation report, it may be due to one of the following reasons.

Weโ€™ve compiled a list of possible causes for the error message and how to resolve them.

Salary details

The salary details have not been entered into payroll. To resolve this, add a salary amendment for the employee using the same effective date and details as the previous entry. This action will update the salary in the system and allow you to proceed with payroll.

In order to add a salary amendment, follow the steps below:

  1. From the dashboard menu, select People Management.

  2. Click Dashboard then beside Employees, click VIEW.

  3. In the Search field, search for the employee, then click VIEW.

  4. Click Current salary then click ADD.

  5. Fill the mandatory fields, then click SAVE.

No primary appointment

The employee may have a secondary appointment but lacks a primary appointment (indicated by no position/point row), or the primary appointment's actual start date is in the past.
