What was the issue?
Where an employee had two active AEPN entries on the NAERSA report, the system did not correctly process the AE deduction against the employee's pension record.
As a result, no AE deduction percentage was applied, and no My Future Fund deductions were processed for affected employees for the periods impacted.
Who may be affected?
Irish customers may have been impacted where:
An employee has two active AEPN entries returned from NAERSA.
We are in the process of identifying employees impacted per site, and will provide a follow-up to affected sites in the coming days.
We are also logging examples with NAERSA to clarify why AEPN data changed from approximately 31 March 2026. Prior to this date, AEPN data was not being returned for old, historic ended appointments — for example, appointments ended back in 2021 are now appearing on the AEPN. This is a factor in some sites for this issue.
We will also be clarifying with NAERSA how affected employees and periods should be handled.
What actions are required?
Pull the latest AEPN data again after this hotfix is applied, and run Payroll Validation to ensure the up-to-date AEPN details are applied.
We will issue a follow-up communication once clarification is received from NAERSA on how they advise impacted employees and periods should be handled.
