An HMRC validation rule change means that from April 2024, you can now record SMP against an employee with a gender of Male within their employee record.
Before you can do this, you need to enable the Allow SMP for Male Employee flag for the relevant employee.
To enable this, follow the steps below.
📌Note: You don't need to do this for employees with a gender of Female in their employee records.
Click Employee then in the search field, search for employee.
Beside the relevant employee, click VIEW then click Sundry Profile.
Click the UK Parameters tab then turn on the SMP for Male Employees toggle.
Click Save.
Once you've done this, you can process SMP as normal for this employee.
