Copying an existing pay code is a payroll configuration feature that allows you to duplicate the settings and parameters of an established pay code to create a new one.

It should be applied when you need to create new pay codes that share similar characteristics with existing ones, such as when adding new allowances, deductions, or benefits that follow established patterns.

To copy an existing pay code in Back Office , follow the steps below.

  1. Click CorePay then click Reference.

  2. Click Pay Code then in the Pay Code field, enter the relevant pay code to copy.

  3. To query pay code, click the query icon.

  4. To create a new record, click the add icon.

  5. To duplicate the previous record you selected, click the double sheet icon.

  6. Change pay code number then make any necessary changes.

  7. To save the new pay code, click the save icon.
