If the hourly value derived from the period gross pay is incorrect for one employee, it may be due to one of the following reasons.

We have compiled a list of possible causes for the overtime appearing incorrectly, along with steps to resolve them.

FTE Hours field

The FTE Hours field is set to 1 on the Employees Appointment Details screen. Check the following screen in Back Office:

  1. Click CorePay then click Employee.

  2. Click Personnel Profile then click Post Profile.

  3. Click View Appointment Details.

πŸ“ŒNote: If the FTE Hours field is set to 1, the hours at the employee or pay group level will be ignored.

Example:

  • Salary: 50,000

  • Pay group pay period hours: 39

  • Pay group pay period days: 5

  • Pay group days in year: 260.9

  • Employee hours: 38.75 (these hours should be used instead of pay group hours)

    • Expected hourly value: 50,000 / 260.9 * 5 / 38.75 = 24.72

    • System hourly value: 50,000 / 260.9 * 5 = 958.22

To resolve this, set the FTE Hours field to null. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Click CorePay then click Employee.

  2. Click Personnel Profile then click Post Profile.

  3. Click Amend Appointment Details.

  4. Set the FTE Hours to null then re-run the Validation job.

Indicator off

The Indicator is not switched to look at FTE hours for second salary employees.

To resolve this, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article with examples of the employee.
