If the hourly rate in the occupation salary offset is incorrect and does not match the employee's daily rate, you need to check for an overridden absence daily rate calculation setting for that employee.
To do this, follow the steps below in the portal.
Absence daily rate calculation setting
Check for an overriding absence daily rate calculation setting for the sickness category assigned to the employee by following these steps:
Click Settings then under Absence Configuration, click Absence Daily Rate Calculation.
Click Absence Rule Setting tab then for the relevant category, check the Daily Rate Override settings.
If nothing is set there, check the Daily Rate Override settings for the relevant pay group.
If no overrides are found in the previous steps, check the Daily Rate Calculation settings in the Company Settings.
To save changes, click SAVE.
No override set
If no override is set and the company is configured to use annual salary, ensure there are no overrides set in the category settings. Follow these steps:
Click Settings then under Absence Configuration, click Absence Pay Parameters.
From the Company drop-down menu, select the relevant company.
From the Select Detail drop-down, select Absence Rules.
For the relevant sickness category, click the three-dot menu then click More.
Check the Days In Year Override.
To save changes, click SAVE.
πNote: Any value set here will take priority over the pay group settings when applying the sickness calculation for the hourly rate. i.e. ((Annual Salary / Days in Year) * Days in Week) / Employee Hours)
