Any refund of PRSI is a matter between the employee/ employer and the Department of Social Protection and should be managed outside of payroll.

If a timesheet is recorded for the refund the Validation report will only display the PRSI paid in the current tax year.
The system does not cater for PRSI refunds for previous tax years, regardless of the transaction date recorded on the timesheet. A supplementary run will not work for NI arrears.
Refunding PRSI via payroll is not recommended as it requires a large amount of manual amendments which may result in errors.
