When entering the employment allowance in the RTI Parameter screen the following error messages appears: An error has occurred, please try again. If the issue persists please contact support.

If you encounter the above error message when updating the employment allowance in the RTI Parameters screen, please note that this is a cosmetic error. Our development team is actively working on a resolution.

To ensure the update is applied correctly, follow these steps in portal.

Save the rate

Despite the error, enter and save the allowance, rounding it to a whole number (e.g., 10500).

Verify the update

After saving the employment allowance, navigate back to the Company Allowance screen to confirm that the same figure appears on the RTI Parameters screen.

Proceed with Payroll

If the figures match, you can continue processing payroll as usual.

This workaround ensures the employment allowance updates correctly while our development team work on removing the error message.
