Error: 'Update not yet completed'

When running the generate salaries and allowances (PAY290) job, the following error appears: Update not yet completed.

If you see the above error message when running the Generate Salaries and Allowances (PAY290) job, this occurs because the system has already run the Confirm Timesheets task.

The Confirm Timesheets task closes timesheet inputs for the current payroll period, preventing any additional timesheet entries.

Once you run the Confirm Timesheets task, you cannot re-run the Generate Salaries and Allowances task without first reversing the timesheets step.

To run the reverse confirm timesheets task, follow the steps in the relevant section below.

Portal

  1. Click Manage Payroll then for the relevant pay group, click Process Payroll.

  2. Beside the relevant payroll validation job, click the three-dot icon.

  3. Click Reverse Timesheets then a confirm reverse timesheets pop-up, click Yes.

    πŸ€“Tip: Your pay group will automatically return to the last step of Salaries & Allowances.

  4. Re-run the Salaries & Allowances job as required.

Back Office

  1. Click CorePay then click Input.

  2. Click Reverse Timesheet Confirm then in the Pay Group field, enter the pay group.

  3. Review the required period and current period fields then click OK.

  4. Run the payroll jobs again.
