If the above error appears when updating the employee tax codes, it is because the tax code details will need to be added for the relevant tax year for the pay group.
To do this, follow the steps below in portal.
From the dashboard menu, click Payroll Dashboard.
Click Settings then under UK Tax Rates, click PAYE Codes.
Click the relevant Tab (UK, Scotland or Welsh Codes).
Add the relevant entry for the Tax Year required.
📌Note: Welsh tax codes are only valid from 2019 onward, and Scottish tax codes from 2016 onward.
