If the RTI exception warning report displays the following error message for an employee, it indicates that no National Insurance (NI) figures are being sent to HMRC for that employee.
This warning message was introduced in the release notes for version 28.0.104.
To resolve this issue, review the employee's pay for the period to verify its accuracy. To do this, follow the steps below in Portal.
Click Employee then in the search field, search for employee.
Beside the relevant employee, click VIEW.
Check the figures for the specified period.
If the employee is not supposed to have any NI figures, you can proceed to send the RTI as normal; this warning will not prevent the file from being sent.
If the employee has been flagged with no NI figures but should have them, review for any errors. In this case, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article. Include the following:
