If the salary calculation is displaying an incorrect (AWE) amount for maternity pay, this is because the average weekly earning pay days are not being set correctly.
To check the average weekly earning pay days, follow the steps below in portal.
📌Note: For weekly, fortnightly, and four-weekly payrolls, the system uses the Day In Week field from the Weekly Pay Day section.
Click Settings, under UK Tax Rates click General.
Click Average Pay/Pay Days.
In the Pay Group field, select the relevant pay group.
The dates should be set to the actual pay date in the period.
To save changes, click Save.
