If the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) provided does not match the expected length of the Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN) associated with that specific account, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The bank identifier for the bank has not been set up.
The BBAN length is incorrect.
It is essential for the IBAN to correspond with the BBAN length to ensure accuracy in international banking transactions and to prevent potential errors in fund transfers.
To resolve this issue, follow the steps outlined below in the back office.
No bank identifier setup
If there is no bank identifier set up for the bank, follow the steps in the relevant section below.
Portal
Click Settings then under Bank Details, click Bank Country Codes.
Check that the BBAN Length is set correctly for the BIC Country code.
Click Save.
Back Office
Click CorePay then click Reference.
Click Bank Details then under Select Detail, select Bank Identifier.
Add the relevant bank identifier then click Save.
Re-enter the new bank details for the employee.
Incorrect BBAN length
If the BBAN length is incorrect for the relevant bank. To resolve this, follow the steps in the relevant section below.
📌Note: The BBAN and IBAN lengths are not the same.
Portal
Click Settings then under Bank Details, click Bank Identifier.
Click Add then fill in the required fields for this bank.
Click Save.
Back Office
Click CorePay then click Reference.
Click Bank Details then under Select Detail, select Bank County Codes.
Check the BBAN length is correctly set for the BIC Country Code.

Click Save then re-enter the new bank details for the employee.
