Error: 'Pay Code is Unit based. No Hours/Day Limit can be specified'

When attempting to amend the 'Hours/Days Limit' field, one of the below error messages is received.

When you try to amend the Hours/Days Limit field, you may encounter one of the following error messages:

  • Pay Code is unit-based. No Hours/Day Limit can be specified

  • Pay Code is value-based. No Hours/Day Limit can be specified

These error messages occur because the Hours/Days Limit field can only be populated if the pay code is set to either Hours or Days. Additionally, you will continue to see this error if the pay code is set to 'Value,' such as with student loan pay codes.

To update the fields, follow the steps below in portal.

  1. Click Settings, then under Codes, click Pay Codes(Classic).

  2. From the Pay Group drop-down menu, select the relevant pay code.

  3. In the Hours/Days Limit field, leave it blank.

  4. To save changes, click Save.
