A P60 is an official tax document issued by employers in the UK, summarizing an employee's total earnings and tax deductions for the financial year.

Producing P60s is essential for ensuring that employees have accurate records of their income and tax contributions, which they need for personal tax returns and financial planning.

If you attempt to download P60s from the Report Centre in portal and the file times out or an error appears stating that the file is too large, the issue is likely due to a configuration setting.

To resolve this, a new parameter has been introduced that allows payroll administrators to split P60 reports into smaller files.

To enable this setting, follow the steps below in portal:

  1. From the dashboard menu, select Administrator.

  2. Click Site Manager then click Admin Settings.

  3. In the search field, search for the parameter cp_py_split_p60.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. In the Value field, update this field to a smaller number, for example: 1,000.

    πŸ€“Tip: For example, if payroll administrators want each file to contain P60s for 1,000 employees, they should set the parameter value to 1,000.

  6. Generate the P60s, then download the reports from the Report Centre.
