When the columns in a GL file are not displayed in the correct sequence, this can result to processing errors. This issue arises when configuration changes are made to the GL file definition.
To resolve this issue, you need to update the file layout by ensuring each required field is positioned correctly and all position references are unique. To do this, follow the steps below in portal.
Click Settings then under General Ledger Costing, click Create File Definitions.
In the File Code drop-down menu, select the required file.
🤓Tip: Scroll to the bottom of the screen and review each field.
Click into each field and overwrite the position value (Posn) to ensure it is correct and unique according to the desired order.
Repeat this process for every column to be in use.
