You can update employee details in bulk using HMRC files. This can be done to update employee tax codes or student loan details.
To learn how to upload student loan details, watch the video or follow the steps below:
Download the SL1, SL2, PGL1 or PGL2 file in XML file format from the HMRC desktop tool.
Click the Uploads tab then click Load SL1/SL2 or PGL1/PGL2.
Select the notice type then select the file.
Select the Company then from the drop-down, select the student loan pay codes.
Click Submit then to view the report go to the Report Centre for changes made and any exceptions.
