If you attempt to transfer the FPS file to HMRC and receive a rejection error displaying either of the following messages:
Invalid content found at element 'CO2'
Invalid value ''
This issue occurs because the CO2 emissions for the vehicle have not been set.
To resolve this, update the vehicle's CO2 emissions. If the emissions currently display as zero, first change them to any other number, save the changes, and then revert them back to zero.
To do this, follow the steps below in Portal.
From the dashboard menu, select Administrator Dashboard.
Under the Car Administration Centre, in the search field, search for the employee.
Click the three dot icon then click p11D/P46 Details.
In the CO2 Emissions field, update value.
📌Note: If the current value is zero, first change it to any other number, save the changes, and then change it back to zero.
To save changes, click Save.
Regenerate the FPS and resubmit it.
