If the Court Order reference does not appear on the bank file, it may be due to one of two reasons.

We’ve compiled a list of possible reasons and how to resolve them.

Building Society Reference not populated

The Building Society Reference field is empty. The reference on a Direct Earnings Attachment (DEA) included in the file comes from the Building Society Reference field attached to the employee's deduction.

To update the reference, follow the steps below in Portal.

  1. Click Employee then in the search field, search for employee.

  2. Beside the relevant employee, click VIEW.

  3. Click Deductions then beside the relevant deduction, click the three-dot icon.

  4. In the Building Society Reference field, update the value.

  5. To save changes, click Save.

Building Society Reference updated after payroll job
