Supplementary payroll runs allow you to process additional payments after the payroll for a current pay period has been completed.

You can apply a supplementary run in the following cases:

  • Processing late starters or rejoiners

  • Handling late leavers

  • Correcting underpayments or payroll errors

  • Issuing bonuses or long-term incentive payments (LTIPs)

  • Paying out share dividends or Restricted Share Unit (RSU) exercises

  • Finalizing compromise agreements

Payslips generated from a supplementary run are not released independently. Their release depends on the status of the main payroll run for the same period.

If the main payroll payslips have not been released, the supplementary payslips will also remain unreleased, even after running the complete update job.

To ensure supplementary payslips are released, follow either of the following steps.

Option 1

  1. Finalise main run.

  2. Release Payslips for main run.

The system automatically publishes supplementary payslips when you run the Complete Update for the supplementary run.

Option 2

  1. Finalise main run.

  2. Process and finalise supplementary run,.

  3. Release payslips.

The system publishes both main and supplementary run payslips when you release them.
