If an employee asks to join the pension scheme before their scheduled postponement date as part of the auto-enrolment process, you need to clear the Auto Enrolment History and update the Auto Enrolment Opt In Event to Voluntary Opt In Auto Enrolment.
To enrol an employee early, ahead of their postponement date, follow the steps below in Portal.
Click Employee then in the search field, search for employee.
Beside the relevant employee, click VIEW.
Click Pension then beside the relevant pension code, click the three dot icon.
Click Edit then at the bottom of the page, click AUTOENROLMENT DETAILS.
Turn on the Cancelled toggle then return to the Edit Pension screen.
Click Submit then beside the relevant pension code, click the three dot icon.
Click Delete then re-add the pension scheme details, click ADD.
Under the Auto Enrolment section, from the Auto Enrolment Opt In Event dropdown menu, select Voluntary Opt In Auto Enrolment.
Fill the required fields such as Pension Percentages or Values then click Submit.
Run a single validation ( single payslip) then check the results.
