Some employees had their cost centres amended and these are not being mapped to the correct expense code.

The general ledger matrix is defined by cost centre and pay code. Ensure that the correct combinations exist in the general ledger matrix.

When the payroll update runs, it will select the expense code from the matrix if it is available for the combination of data in the history. If no matrix is found, the output will be 0. Adding a matrix entry after running payroll will not change the pay history for the processed periods.

Additionally, the issue may arise from a lack of appointments in the history records. In this case, the general ledger program will refer to the HR record to obtain the cost center for the employee. Review the cost center on the HR record and ensure that there is a matrix entry for the corresponding pay code and cost center.

This can be an issue in a non-post management environment.
