Update a companies payroll period settings

Steps to update a companies payroll period and number of pay periods after adding additional weeks to a payroll calendar.

When you add additional weeks to a payroll calendar you need to update the companies settings to reflect the new final payroll period it will run. This is important to do before running your year end process to avoid any errors.

πŸ“Œ Note: If you had additional weeks in a year you will need to review the company settings to reflect the number of weeks in the new year after completing the year end process.

To update a company's pay period, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Settings then click General Settings.

  2. Select a Company from the drop-down list.

  3. Update the Payroll Period and Pay Periods fields.

  4. Click Save.
