Individuals who qualify to defer their State Pension Contributory are those born on or after January 1st, 1958. They can claim the Contributory State Pension between ages 66 and 70.
However, once you begin claiming your Contributory State Pension, you can no longer choose to defer your pension claim, even if you continue to work. This is due to the non-payment of PRSI once you start receiving your pension.
