When you generate the refund pension contributions and it displays less withholding tax, this is because an employee has less than 2 years of service and pension contributions are to be refunded minus the withholding tax. To check that you have a pension refund pay codes set up, follow the steps below in back office.
Click CorePay then click Reference.
Click Payroll Parameters.
To select a pay code, in the Company Code field, click the list
icon.
To navigate to page 3, click the right arrow
icon.
To exit screen, click the exit
icon.
Click CorePay then click Input.
Click Advanced Input Features then click Refund Pension Contributions.
In the Employee Ref field, enter the employee number.
Provide the full pension refund amount and tax details.
Click the save
icon.
